Hello eveyone! My name is Laura (Laura22) and I live in sunny Brandon, FL which is a suburb of Tampa. I grew up in New Jersey, where I went to Trenton State College and graduated with an interpersonal communications major. I met my husband Shawn when I was 28, and we got married four years later. We just passed our 8 year wedding anniversary on Nov. 5th. We are proud parents of 3 furry four legged kids- Austin (yellow lab), Ivan (Tri colored Corgi) and Morgan (red corgi). We are huge animal people, and both volunteer for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. I am currently a project manager for ACS (Affiliated Computer Services) which allows me to work from home. I do have to travel quit a bit- usually two weeks a month I am away at a client or ACS office location. I am currently working with a client in NJ, so I am able to spend more time with family and friends than normal. My job has allowed me to do lots of travel, and not just domestically. I have traveled to Ireland, Scotland, England, Jamaica, and Mexico all recently for my job. I love to travel, so it's been wonderful. I love to read vampire stories and love sci fi everything. I am also a huge fan of rock-n-roll, and am proud to say I am a card carrying member of the Bon Jovi Fan Club. Because of my travel, I get to see their shows all over the world, and going to concerts is one of my favorite things to do. So, now the good stuff- Jamie!!! I must admit I was a late comer to the Jamie lovefest. My first experience with Jamie's work was Battlestar, but once I got there, I couldn't help myself! I find Jamie not only attractive, but he has that "sparkle" that I can never put my finger on. I have since rented or caught almost everything he has ever done (I think so anyways) and I really enjoy watching him (wink wink). I had the joy of meeting Jamie at Megacon 2007. I was the first in line for his autograph session, and he was sooo super nice. He cracked a joke about us planning what to wear, because we both had on pink sweaters (yes, the famous pink sweater). I have included a picture of us from that day- how about that smile! I attended the Battlestar panel that same day, and again I got to be "first"- I asked the first question. I was so nervous and was struggling to figure out what to ask him. I ended up asking him a stupid question about how he covers up his accent- but, hey, a guess any question he answers is a good question. I look foward to meeting all of the bunnies someday- wishing you all a very Happy New Year and only the best in 2009! all my love Laura |
