Dragon Con 2008 marked the year anniversary of most of us meeting "IRL" and for many of us, it was our first Jamie-meeting as well. To commemorate the occasion, I wanted to cobble together a short slide-show of pictures from the meet-ups, Jamie events, fan art,and other testaments to our sisterhood. I mostly succeeded, except with the "short" portion.

While Jamie does appear in it-of course- by and large the pictures are of us girls having a blast, becoming friends, and sharing memories that will last a lifetime.  I was honored to put it together, as it brought back so much laughter, tears, and other sentimental drivel. :D Here is a synopsis of all the songs and performers, along with a bit about what I was thinking when I made it.

Band of Bunnies: A Year (or so) in Review - The Movie - DOWNLOAD HERE

(NB: This is a LAAAARGE file (500 MB) and so it will take a while to download, but it is totally worth the wait)

1. Band of Bunnies : Intro and retrospective (In The Mood : The Puppini Sisters) This took me like nine hours to make. Partially because I was a perfectionist and partially because I had never used the software before. But I had this idea in my head and it needed to happen. It was cool to see everyone - some of the girls who only sent me one picture are only in the intro-but I wanted to include everyone that sent me pictures!

2.Bunny Love (I'm Yours: Jason Mraz) I love this portion of the vid. It makes me cry. What you have are lots of pictures of Bunnies mugging for the camera with their new found friends - starting with Bamberrific and SyllverViper's first meeting. The words are perfect too, because for me they describe the moment when you decide to jump off the cliff and become a bunny. So much love!

3. All Dressed Up! (Are You Gonna Be My Girl:Jet) All the pictures in here, with a few notable exceptions, are from the Dragon Con 2007 banquet and party. the pic of Kittenbiscuits and I in casual clothes is us recreating "1,2,3...Let's Kiss" from the Shifting Sands outtakes, and times out with " 1,2,3..." in the song. The video clips are of Bamberrific, Raemani, and I lip-syncing and dancing to the same song at a summer Music festival on my birthday this year.Oh! and Bricharni sent me a picture of her all dressed up so I included it!

4. Bunnies Take Atlanta! (Around the Corner:Detroit Cobras) A comic made by BJ which more or less transcribes the events of Dragon Con 2007.

6. The JamieCake (Hey Pretty : Poe) The Jamiecake, Jamie at Dragon Con, and other random Dragon Con pictures. Delicious! Includes Sylvie's awesome Dragon Con 2007 collages.

7. Family (Lullaby for a Stormy Night : Vienna Teng) Pictures of us with our families - all the adorable little kids, nephews, nieces, cousins, step grand kids, brothers, sisters, and um, random children I guess.) It's not easy when your mom's a Bamber Bunny.

8. Off Topic Atonement (Everywhere : Vanessa Carlton) Since I drifted off topic in the last song, here are all our nice pictures with Jamie (and other BSG stars)

9.  Ann Arbor (Tom Waits) Did you know there is an offshoot of the Bamber Bunnies all centered in Ann Arbor, Michigan? Bamberrific and I had to check it out. Maybe we should open up branches at college campuses nationwide. Hah, no really we went to go visit Fedzgurl and met all her awesome, Jamie-loving pals. Lots of sailor-cookies, U2-between-us-two-ing, and Perv-o-scopes abound.

10. LONDON! (I Don't Feel Like Dancing : The Scissor Sisters) Never in a million years did I think I'd take a trans-continental trip with an internet fan club. Oh, Jamie. What have you gotten me in to? I love all the campy transitions in this portion of the vid, they go with the music. Incidentally, the most inebriated I have ever been in my life was at the convention party in London, and this song came on and I danced like a total freak. Funnily enough, I had no alcohol in my system - it was just pure joy at Jamie showing up - SURPRISE - at the convention after he had cancelled his appearance earlier in the week.

11. Paging Dr. Matt (Hair of the Dog/My Condition:Kenny Rogers) Kittenbiscuits is famous for her Dr. Matt comics. In this version, Dr. Matt goes on kind of a spirit quest, except instead of a Spirit Animal he has Kenny Rogers. Predictably, he checks his tire pressure, eats at Stucky's, Trips out, and Invariably shows up to cure us all of what is ailin' us. Dr. Matt, we never tire of you! (or Kabe)

12. The Husbands (What a Man : Salt 'n' Peppa) A tribute to our wonderful, understanding, and totally hot husbands, set to mid-nineties rap music, which in my head is the stuff Jamie listens to.

13. Naughty (Drrrty : Christina Aguilera) Bunnies are famous...or should I say Infamous...for their ribald sense of humor and wonky sense of fun. A few of the best pictures anyone would let me put in the slide show. Oh, what the unedited version would look like! 

14. Finale (For Good: The Wicked Soundtrack) *sniffle* 

So I hope you all enjoy it, and I look forward to making another one next year!
