Name: Monti S![]() AKA: Sky, Em, M, mlsky, Age: 40 Gender: Female (hey…with a name like Monti…it helps to make this clear. ☺) Status: Married with three kidlets Occupation: Author/Editor/Marketing/Promo – Also work part-time for a golf course. Former caregiver to mother. Additional Info: I’m happy to share my Jamie loot with anyone who needs or wants it. Er…if you all don’t already have everything. ;) Hrm. Where to start? My name is Monti…and nope…not short for anything. It’s an odd name, but completely suits me…so yeah…I’m kinda odd. *grins * I grew up and still live in Ohio (with a short stint in Atlanta for school). Spent twelve years in Columbus before moving back to my rural hometown to live in the house I grew up in when my oldest was starting kindergarten. Number two was on the way, so the familiar setting was nice and much less stressful than it could have been. * smiles * We added a third to the fold (um yeah…COMPLETE surprise that one was. * LOL *) a few years later. I guess you could say roots are important to me…and one of the reasons I love the bunnies. I come by my love of sci-fi through my dad…he’s a big fan and since he controlled the television (gasp…we only had one!) I developed a quick and undying devotion for the stuff he enjoyed. * giggles * Star Trek, Buck Rogers, Star Wars, Doctor Who…and the original Battlestar Galactica were just a few of the shows we all gathered together to watch. My two brothers and I still hook each other on new shows cause we all have very similar tastes…and it all started with the dad unit. Let’s see…I became a Jamie fan while watching the miniseries. And yeah…my first thought when he came on screen was ‘Damn…he’s hot’…that was followed by…’Ouch…snark much?’…but I was intrigued. Unfortunately, I hadn't time to watch the series and only saw little bits and pieces of it while it was on. But… I looked up who the guy playing Apollo was…and quickly got my hands on everything I could find that he’d been in. I watched and read online and written interviews and came away doubly impressed that not only was Jamie incredibly good looking…he was witty, charming and highly intelligent. A complete package…which happens to be a kink of mine. A pretty face is a pretty face. Back that up with a beautiful brain and I’m hooked. For life. ☺ Anyway…I enjoyed everything…EVERYTHING. The good, the bad, the not so glamorous…cause Jamie sorta makes me happy (see above statement about the whole package). * LOL * And I did finally get with the program and got hooked on BSG while watching Water when the first season aired. That led to finding fan forums, websites, and new friends who admired Jamie. It’s been an incredible experience. Taking care of my mom for five years (Alzheimer’s) somewhat limited my involvement in the forums, but lurking was a wonderful way to pass the time when I had her. Many a night was passed with a laptop on my lap and the moms sitting next to me. She finally succumbed to complications from a fall this past April and the free time is well…different. But it’s also kind of wonderful in that I can indulge in more fandom related activities other than recaps and writing fan fiction. Let’s see…what else? Aside from a healthy (um…or not) addiction to television, reading is a favorite pastime. Of course, writing is at the top of the list of things I love to do along with other creative endeavors…crafting rag rugs being the current one I do to unwind. I’m so excited to be a part of the wonderful community of bunnies and can’t wait to get to know everyone. Bunny Trax, Sky
