Where to start? In the beginning, I guess. "A long time ago, in a galaxy..." Oh right, wrong space ship.

Hi! I'm MrsDrJackson aka Kate H. In case you couldn't tell, I'm a long time sci-fi / fantasy lover. My father made sure to introduce me to all the great works of fantasy and sci-fi out there, including Star Trek, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars.

My husband gets all the credit for my current sci-fi obsession. He introduced me to Stargate SG-1, which got me posting on the boards. Also, he was the one to convince me to give BSG a chance. Without those two things, I would never have met the wonderful people I now call my e-famiLee - the most amazing group of women and men I have ever met. And we have Jamie Bamber and his incredible acting skills to thank for that! While I do not always love the character of Lee, Mr. Bamber is by far one of the most talented men I've ever had the pleasure to drool over.

Hmmm, what else? I have a BA in Women's Studies and will hopefully be going back to school to be a Radiology Tech in Mammography. This way I can indulge my passion for advocating breast cancer awareness and get paid doing it. I love to read and spend time outside, except for when it's cold and/or snowy. Unfortunately, I live in Wisconsin, so that leaves about 3 months for me to get outside. We have one very spoiled cat but no kids (yet).
